The Network partnered with fellow social service coalitions and supportive housing providers to advocate for nonprofit and worker-friendly changes to recent city council legislation surrounding essential workers. In a letter to Speaker Johnson and Chair Miller, the Network and partners urged City Council to consider the impact these bills would have on nonprofits, citing that the proposed legislation could hamper service delivery to New York’s highest risk populations in this challenging time.

Ecomonic Impact Payments For Low Income Households

As you probably know, all low-income individuals are eligible for a $1,200 stimulus check ($2,400 for joint returns, $500 for each qualifying child) known as Economic Impact Payments.

Any low-income individual who has filed a tax return in the past two years and cannot be claimed as a dependent will receive the monies automatically.
