Join us Thursday June 2nd for the 20th Annual New York State Supportive Housing Conference, the largest supportive housing conference in the nation. After a two year hiatus, the conference will again be held at the New York Marriott Marquis, in the heart of New York City. See the conference schedule here, the workshop schedule here and the full workshop descriptions here.
This year, we are delighted to announce that Lori Yearwood will be giving our morning keynote address. Lori is a trauma-informed journalist. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, The Guardian, and The New Republic, among many other publications. She is the national housing crisis reporter for the Economic Hardship Reporting Project and is the recipient of a 2022 Poynter Institute Fellowship at Yale University.
The conference will feature over 20 workshops and panels that span the interests of the supportive housing community. There will be a Meet the Adams Administration panel as well as what the next 5 years of ESSHI and NYC 15/15 will bring. In addition the conference will feature new approaches to help tenants age in place and present interventions aimed at preventing overdoses in supportive housing. There will also be deep-dives into the Open Hearts Initiative and New Destiny’s Family Support Program, and -- back by popular demand – interactive workshops by Parenting Journey and the Restorative Justice Initiative.
The New York State Supportive Housing Conference is the single best place for supportive housing’s leaders to learn what is going on in our world. We will hear from more than 100 experts, innovators and leaders in the field. Do not miss this opportunity that comes only once a year!
We kindly request that all attendees are fully vaccinated and strongly encourage everyone to do a home COVID test prior to attending. Mask wearing is also strongly encouraged and masks will be provided on-site.
