Final State Budget Released This Weekend

The Governor and Legislature came to an agreement on a final $220 million state budget late last week and passed it this weekend. For supportive housing, the final budget is largely reflective of the Executive budget that was proposed in January. Below is the Network’s first glimpse of the budget. We will update our members as we learn more details.

HPD and HDC Increase M&O Rates By 10%

In January of 2022, the Network, in collaboration with ANHD, NYSAFAH and LiveOn, offered joint recommendations to HDC and HPD for inclusion in the 2022 M&O Standards for New Construction. The Network is pleased to share that several of the recommendations have been adopted into the finalized schedule.

President Biden’s FY 2023 Budget Released

President Biden released his FY 2023 budget request on Monday, March 28. The request would add $6.2 billion to last year’s HUD budget, putting the total at $71.9 billion. Additionally, the proposed budget also includes $50 billion in other federal investments in affordable housing including:
