The New York/New York Agreements are groundbreaking collaborations between New York City and New York State that will collectively have created some 15,000 units of supportive housing for the most vulnerable homeless New Yorkers. NY/NY I
In August 1990, Mayor David Dinkins and Governor Mario Cuomo signed the first, groundbreaking NY/NY Agreement.
NY/NY II
In 1999, Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Governor George Pataki signed NY/NY II, creating 1,500 more units for mentally ill homeless New Yorkers.
NY/NY III
In November 2005, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Governor George Pataki signed the most ambitious agreement, the largest local commitment to supportive housing in the nation's history.
