Cost Effectiveness of Housing As HIV Prevention and Care

Nancy Bernstine, 2009

This PowerPoint presentation, produced by Nancy Bernstine of the National AIDS Housing Coalition, reviews a range of research on the cost savings associated with HIV/AIDS housing. In particular, it summarizes findings from the Chicago Housing for Health Partnership (CHHP) and the Housing and Health Study (H&H). The author concludes that “homelessness and unstable housing are linked to greater HIV risk, inadequate care, poor health outcomes & early death.”
