Superintendent (Non-Live-In)

The Building Superintendent is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of the building.

Job Responsibilities

Monday - Friday; 8am-4pm - Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible to ensure routine daily, weekly and periodic cleaning tasks Complete and process work orders and assist in maintaining the work order system Ensure the entire building grounds and common areas are kept clean Minor and routine repairs and maintenance, both in units and interior and exterior of building Ensure that all building garbage and recyclables are placed for pick up at appropriate times and days All entrances, paths, sidewalks and stairways must be kept completely clear of any debris, snow, ice, etc. Prepare vacant units for occupancy Maintain inspection logs for standpipe/sprinkler, maintenance logs and all federal, state and city regulations Carry out and oversee preventive maintenance program throughout the buildings Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds Coordinate building systems maintenance with vendors, contractors and supervisors Perform periodic inspections of all common areas throughout the buildings Perform inspections of units annually and as needed Monitor the use and inventories of maintenance supplies and initiate reordering when necessary Maintain tools and equipment Respond to emergency calls including after hours response and rectify existing condition Performs additional maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Director or Property Manager Coordinates with the Director of the residential program Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings. Job Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years’ experience and demonstrated ability. Full knowledge of all building systems, i.e., mechanical, electrical, heating, air conditioning, and plumbing. Possess carpentry, plumbing and light electrical experience. Have full knowledge of building facility maintenance and general construction. Must possess supervisory skills and have general knowledge of computers and software.

The case manager is also an advocate for their clients. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide case management services (service planning, medication monitoring, assistance in forming linkages and/or referrals to clinical services, programs, vocational services and opportunities, community integration, entitlements etc.) Provide individual counseling and support services; responsible for all documentation. Housing services including assistance with obtaining VASH voucher, education assistance with the life skills needed to maintain an apartment and resolving maintenance issues. Provide unit visits weekly and unit inspections monthly. Participate in resolution of landlord and lease issues and coordination with public housing authority recertification. Complete all necessary documentation to ensure compliance with funding requirements and agency quality assurance standards. Attendance at weekly supervision and staff meetings. Crisis intervention. Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Rehabilitation, Social Work or other related mental health discipline, plus 2 years experience working with persons with histories of substance abuse and/or psychiatric disabilties. Previous work with Veterans preferred. The individual in this position must have good verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to make sound judgments regarding client care.

Job Responsibilities

Tuesday-Saturday; 8am-4pm - The Program Coordinator is responsible for managing the programs in a manner which promotes client/guest growth, safety, crisis intervention, effective delivery of rehabilitation and recovery-oriented/trauma informed services. In addition, the Program Coordinator is responsible to oversee operations such that they maintain compliance with all program requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with the supervision and coordination of direct care and crisis respite services. Conduct weekly individual and group supervisory meetings with staff, including completing weekly chart review. Provide training to assigned staff, as needed. Conduct screenings, assessments, and intakes of prospective applicants. Maintain program occupancy rates, assisting with the intake process, collection of supporting documentation and admission process. Monitor/review all documentation to ensure timely submission, qualitative content, etc. Provide crisis intervention (including on-call responsibilities). Compliance with NYSOMH, LIHTC, and other regulations, including data collection, and reporting requirements. Cooperation with Property Management regarding site maintenance. Acts as a liaison with other service providers, as well as with community agencies. Responsible for assisting staff and guests with crisis intervention and linkages to community resources. Assist with the coordination of staff schedules, including Per Diem staff. Perform periodic staff evaluations; participate in hiring and dismissal of staff. Periodically fulfill responsibilities of staff as needed in times of staffing turnover. Remain flexible in scheduling according to program needs. Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth in Concern’s employee manual. Remain current with all agency required compliance documents and trainings. Other duties as assigned by the Director. Job Requirements

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling or other related field required and license preferred. Minimum of three years’ experience working in a similar setting/ or working with people with psychiatric disabilities. The individual in this position must have good leadership and supervisory skills, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to make sound judgments regarding guest care.
