On the rainy morning of February 2nd, Elmcor leadership, staff and tenants joined elected officials and community members for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of Helen M. Marshall Manor in Corona, Queens. This new affordable and supportive residence is creating 30 apartments:
Unique People Services Opens 2050 Grand Concourse

More than 100 partners, electeds, staff and tenants gathered to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of Unique People Services’ (UPS) 2050 Grand Concourse November 3rd. The glorious 96 apartment building will provide homes to 58 supportive individuals as well as low income families and singles. Service funding is provided by both OMH under NY/NY III and HASA through NYC 15/15.

On October 24th, Homeward NYC, Type A Projects and Azimuth Development Group joined project partners to celebrate the opening of the new supportive housing residence, Homeward Central Harlem. The new residence is creating 50 LGBTQIA+ affirming supportive housing apartments for youth in Harlem. On-site services are provided by Homeward NYC funded by NYC 15/15 through New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH).

On October 19th, BronxWorks, L+M Development Partners, Type A Projects, and the Hip Hop Museum joined elected officials, community leaders and developers for a ribbon cutting ceremony for Bronx Point, which will also be home to The Hip Hop Museum. This new residence is creating 542 affordable housing units, including 82 supportive in the South Bronx. On-site services are provided by BronxWorks, funded by NYC 15/15 Supportive Housing Initiative through the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH).

On Thursday, September 28th, CSD Housing and Federation of Organizations joined project partners and elected and government officials for the opening of a new affordable/supportive housing residence, Herkimer Gardens. Herkimer Gardens brings 121 new affordable apartments, including 60 new units of supportive housing for seniors, to Bedford–Stuyvesant in Brooklyn. On-site services are provided by Federation of Organizations funded by the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) through New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH).

On September 19th, Selfhelp Community Services Inc. and Selfhelp Realty Group joined developers and elected officials for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for new affordable/supportive housing residence, The Allan and Geraldine Rosenberg Residence in Freeport, Nassau County. The residence is creating 45 affordable apartments for adults aged 55 and older, 14 of which are set aside for formerly homeless seniors. On-site services are provided by Selfhelp Community Services and funded by the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) through the New York State Department of Health.

On September 6th, RUPCO hosted a ribbon cutting for their East End II project in Newburgh. The $36 million project includes 24 building sites in a seven-block radius, comprising 61 mixed-income homes. 10 of the homes are funded by the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) and are set aside for people living with Substance Use Disorder and youth and adults re-entering the community from incarceration. The scattered site development centers around the adaptive reuse of the historic United Methodist Church into a vibrant community center called Highpoint, which will be managed by the Newburgh-based nonprofit LYNC.

The new building has 105 supportive and 69 affordable apartments for individuals and families, with services provided by S:US through funding under NYC 15/15 through the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
