Community Services for Every1 Opens The Apartments at The Lyceum

On July 12th Community Services for Every1 (CSE1) joined elected officials and community and project partners for the grand opening of The Apartments at the Lyceum. This new affordable and supportive housing residence created 42 affordable apartments, including 12 apartments for survivors of domestic violence, 5 fully ADA accessible units, and 2 units for individuals with audio/visual impairments in Buffalo. Services will be provided by Community Services for Every1 funded by the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) administered by the NYS Office of Temporary Disability Assistance (OTDA).

Concern Housing Opens Concern Pitkin

Friends, staff and partners gathered to celebrate the opening of Concern Pitkin in Brooklyn July 9th. The new residence provides 58 new homes with 35 of them supportive.  Supportive services are provided by Concern Housing and funded by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) through the NYC 15/15 initiative.

East House Opens Canal Street Commons

On June 27th, East House joined project partners and elected officials to celebrate the ribbon cutting of Canal Street Common, which is bringing 123 new affordable apartments, 70 which are supportive, to Rochester, New York. On-site services are provided by East House and funded by the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative administered by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH).

DePaul Opens Port Byron Apartments

On June 13th, DePaul joined project partners to celebrate the opening of the Port Byron Apartments. This new affordable and supportive housing residence includes 69 new affordable apartments, including 30 supportive in Port Byron. On-site services are provided by DePaul funded by the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) administered by New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH).

Housing Visions and Catholic Charities of Onondaga County Opens Moyer Carriage Lofts

On May 30th, Housing Visions and Catholic Charities of Onondaga County joined project partners to celebrate the opening of Moyer Carriage Lofts. This new affordable and supportive housing residence is creating 128 new affordable apartments, including 50 supportive, in Syracuse. On-site social services will be provided by Catholic Charities of Onondaga County funded by the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) administered by New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH).

Federation of Organizations Opens Barbara Faron Residence

On June 3rd, Federation of Organizations, elected officials and project partners gathered to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of the Barbara Faron Residence, named after Federation of Organizations’ CEO Barbara Faron. This new residence brings 118 apartments, 71 which are supportive for individuals in recovery from behavioral health conditions to the Far Rockaway section of Queens.  On-site services are provided by Federation of Organizations and funded through the NYC 15/15 initiative administered by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Community Access Opens River Avenue

On the sunny first day of spring – March 19th – friends, staff, elected officials, and supporters gathered to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of River Avenue, Community Access’ newest supportive and affordable residence in the Concourse section of the Bronx. River Avenue has 245 apartments, a mix of studios, one, two- and three-bedrooms, 148 of which are supportive for individuals and families living with mental health concerns. On-site services are funded by OMH under the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative.

HELP USA and HELPDevCo Open HELP ONE Buildings A and B

On a sunny spring March 14th, HELP USA and HELPDevCo joined elected officials and project partners to celebrate the opening of HELP ONE buildings A and B in East New York, Brooklyn. These two new affordable and supportive housing residences are creating 255 new apartments, 154 of which are supportive for young adult families and individuals who have experienced homelessness. Support services will be provided by HELP USA funded by NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) through NYC 15/15.

VIP Community Services Opens Ruiz Butter House

On the afternoon of March 12th, friends and partners gathered to celebrate the opening of VIP Community Services’ Ruiz Butter House, a new supportive/affordable building providing 78 new affordable apartments on 1899 Crotona Avenue in the Bronx, 65 of which are supportive. Services and operations will be provided by VIP Community Services and funded by the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative through the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.
