WellLife Network’s Cypress Avenue Residence Opens

Friends and partners of WellLife Network’s Cypress Avenue Residence gathered June 9th to celebrate the opening of their 66-unit affordable/supportive building in the Glendale neighborhood of Queens. More than ten years in the creation, the project is the first supportive residence in the area and will provide homes to 40 formerly homeless individuals and families as well as 26 low-income households.

RiseBoro Community Partnership Opens 50 Penn

On June 9th, RiseBoro Community Partnership, joined project and government partners to celebrate the opening of a new affordable/supportive housing development, 50 Penn. Located in Cypress Hills, the residence will create 218 new affordable apartments, including 42 supportive units for formerly homeless seniors. RiseBoro will provide on-site services funded by the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI).

Institute for Community Living Opens 50 Nevins

May.10.2022

On May 9th, partners and supporters from both the State and City, including New York City Mayor Eric Adams, gathered to celebrate the opening of the Institute for Community Living’s new 129-unit supportive/affordable residence, built in part on the grounds of ICL’s first residence, which opened 35 years ago. The new building will provide 129 new apartments including 78 units for a mix of formerly homeless veterans, young adults and individuals coping with mental illness and substance abuse disorders.

Skyview Park Apartments Opens in Monroe County

May.04.2022

On May 4th, PathStone joined government partners for an opening ceremony of Skyview Park Apartments, a new affordable/supportive housing residence for seniors at the site of the former Irondequoit Mall in Monroe County. Skyview Park Apartments features 157 homes for adults 55 and older, including 78 supportive housing apartments for those at risk of homelessness and in need of support services.

Eagle Star Housing Opens Liberty Square

May.03.2022

On May 3rd, Eagle Star Housing joined project partners for an opening ceremony of a new affordable/supportive residence, Liberty Square. Located in city of Batavia, the new residence is creating 55 apartments, of which 28 are supportive, set-aside for veterans experiencing homelessness. Six of the new residence’s units are accessible for people with mobility impairments and three for people with hearing or vision impairments.

Services for the UnderServed Tops Off Melrose North

On April 5th, Services for the UnderServed (S:US) and Bronx Pro Group gathered elected officials and community partners for a virtual topping off ceremony of a new affordable/supportive housing residence, Melrose North. Located in the Bronx, the residence will create 171 new units of affordable and supportive housing - 103 supportive units serving a mix of singles and families, as well as survivors of domestic violence. Once open, S:US will provide on-site services funded by NYC 15/15 and the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI).

The Bridge Officially Opens 3500 Park Avenue Apartments

On November 3rd, government and project partners joined The Bridge and tenants to formally celebrate the opening of 3500 Park Avenue Apartments, a new affordable and supportive housing residence in the Bronx. With 115 units of which 69 are supportive, this new residence will serve individuals experiencing  homelessness, including adults with mental illness, veterans with disabilities and the elderly. Supportive services are provided by The Bridge and funded through the NYS Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI).

The Community Builders and BronxWorks open Park Haven Apartments

On the first day of November, The Community Builders (TCB) and BronxWorks joined with project partners to celebrate the opening of Park Haven Apartments, a new affordable and supportive residence in the Bronx providing homes to 178 families and individuals, including 50 formerly homeless households.
