THANK YOU GOVERNOR CUOMO FOR RESTORING $36.3 MILLION FOR MRT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING IN THE 30-DAY BUDGET AMENDMENT

THANK YOU TO THE PROVIDERS WHO ADVOCATED FOR THIS RESTORATION

Governor Cuomo released the 30-day budget amendment on February 21st which includes a restoration of $36.3 million in funding for existing MRT Supportive Housing Programs serving 6,300 formerly homeless individuals and families.

The programs supported by this funding include scattered-site supportive housing for:

Additionally, the MRT Supportive Housing Program pays for services for another 4,100 families and individuals across New York State through the state’s New York State Supportive Housing Program (NYSSHP).

Thank you to the Governor, the Division of Budget, our partners at the Departments of Health (DOH),  and the Offices of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA), Mental Health (OMH) and Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) as well as our legislative champions.
