On February 2nd, Governor Kathy Hochul announced the eighth round of conditional Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) awards comprised of 22 proposed projects, with 4,839 supportive units.
Providers are now positioned to move forward in securing capital funding for these projects over the next two years. To remain on track with the 20,000 unit commitment, the state needs to place at least 1,400 units in the development pipeline each year. A total of 85 of the proposed projects are by Network members. Congratulations to the awardees and good luck moving forward.
