The Network submitted testimony to the City Council Committee on Zoning and Franchises hearing on City of Yes for Housing Opportunities held on October 22nd in support of the plan.
The Network’s Associate Director of Advocacy, Tierra Labrada stressed that the need for affordable housing, especially supportive housing, has never been more urgent and that the demand still surpasses the supply. She also stated that reallocating resources under NYC 15/15 combined with the City of Yes plan would expand access to both affordable and supportive housing and urged the city to develop more congregate housing.
