New York State Homes and Community Renewal has released the 9% Multifamily Request for Proposals, available here. This package of tax credits and subsidy is a key source of capital for supportive housing. This year, HCR returns to an annual RFP process after several years of bi-annual applications. Also new: a LGBTQ+ Affirming Senior Housing Program that may be used with an ESSHI Senior component.

Note: Round 8 of the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) RFP is anticipated to be released soon. Applicants considering providing supportive housing funded through ESSHI must either have a current ESSHI Conditional Award Letter or an ESSHI extension letter.
Project Based Voucher RFP
HCR has also released an RFP for Project Based Section 8 Vouchers. These are available for both new and existing projects that have either HCR capital funding and/or NYS OTDA Homeless Housing Assistance Program funding.
