The Network is pleased to let you know that the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) 2023 Request for Proposals (RFP) has been released.
This is the eighth round of conditional awards for ESSHI and will provide service and operating funding for another 1,400 units of supportive housing for homeless individuals and families facing a variety of life challenges, including:
- Serious Mental Illness
- Substance Abuse Disorder
- HIV/AIDS
- Chronic Homelessness
- Domestic Violence
- Young Adults/Youth Aging out of Foster Care
- Frail Elderly
- Re-Entry
- Veterans
- Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
Projects receiving conditional awards through this RFP will again have 24 months to assemble the capital funding to build the project. At that time the award becomes permanent.
