Advocacy and Policy
The Network advocates for policies that advance the growth and effectiveness of supportive housing. Our staff and members research and analyze policy and budget decisions at the local, state, and federal levels.
Research and Reports
For over 30 years, the Network has served as the hub for New York's nonprofit supportive housing providers. This unique vantage point has allowed the Network to conduct and publish original research to reflect the totality of New York supportive housing.
We also provide our community with the best evidence-based research being done on supportive housing. Through the years an array of sources, including peer-reviewed journals, state and local governments, public policy think tanks and nonprofit organizations have published articles on the overall effectiveness of the housing model -- in terms of dollars and lives saved.
Movement Building
One of our core missions is to foster a community of supportive housing developers and providers in New York State with the goal of advancing the creation of more supportive housing and preserving existing units.
