Nonprofit or for-profit developers receiving subsidy through HPD New Construction programs, such as ELLA, Mix & Match, and NCP.
Amount
A capitalized Social Service Reserve of up to $7,500 per homeless unit and annualized reserve of $9,500 per 5% of the homeless units (rounded up) may fund the approved social service plan.
Term
One time payment for social services for new homeless households for the life of the project. Project regulatory period varies based on specific financing.
Network Notes
- Please note that this subsidy is a small, one-time payment to provide "light-touch" social services to formerly homeless households at the time of initial lease-up. This funding is not sufficient to provide comprehensive, long-term social services.
- For households with more complex needs, seek other sources of service funding.
-
Social service provider must be approved by HPD. See the HPD Pre-Qualified List of Housing Retention and Stabilization Services for a list of approved service providers.
