Summary
NYS HCR's HWF program provides gap financing to projects funded by a variety of HCR capital programs, including the Supportive Housing Opportunity Program (SHOP).
Tenant Eligibility Criteria
Households with incomes up to 60% AMI.
Amount
Per-Project Maximum Award: $4 million in the Open Window RFP or $2 million in the Unified Funding RFP.
Per-Residential Unit Maximum Award: Up to $125,000 per housing unit in the Open Window RFP or $25,000 per housing unit in the Unified Funding RFP.
Term
Dependent on other capital financing.
Network Notes
- Up to $30 million is available in SFY 2018-19 through HCR’s Multifamily Open Window RFP. Funding is also available through the Unified Funding RFP.
- No more than 50% of total funding may be awarded to any one municipality.
- Up to $2.5 million may be awarded to projects in NYC. Up to $6.5 million may be awarded to projects in Westchester, Nassau & Suffolk counties.
