The City of New York generously donated several shipments of Personal Protective Equipment to the supportive housing community for tenants and staff which the Network and Breaking Ground’s Michael Rosen have been distributing.
We are eternally grateful to the City -- specifically Deputy Mayor Vicki Been and to Amy Boyle, who is the Senior Advisor for Housing. Amy single-handedly organized multiple shipments of masks and gloves for use by our nonprofit members at a crucial time: at the height of the pandemic when PPE was all but unobtainable. Another special shout-out to the indefatigable and unflappable Michael Rosen, Vice President for Asset Management at Breaking Ground.
The Network would also like to thank Breaking Ground for making their loading dock and storage space at 90 Sands available to store huge quantities of supplies. So far - the City has supplied our providers with more than 2 MILLION surgical masks and nearly 200K pairs of gloves.
Our heartfelt thanks to the Deputy Mayor, Amy and Michael for coming to our community’s aid in our hour of need.
