This longitudinal study explores the various life outcomes of young adults who have either exited the foster care system, the juvenile justice system or both the foster care and juvenile justice systems. The researchers track numerous outcomes, including public service use, education, drug treatment and employment. Among their many findings, the researchers conclude that the youth involved in both the child welfare and juvenile justice systems comprise the most vulnerable group. The report was produced by Dennis Culhane, Stephen Metraux, Manuel Moreno, Halil Toros and Max Stevens.
