On December 12th, the fourth cohort of the Readying Emerging Leaders in Supportive Housing (RELISH) program celebrated their graduation at The Mezzanine by Liberty Church.

Launched in 2022, the 24-week RELISH mentorship program provides emerging leaders in nonprofit homeless and housing organizations with the management, leadership, and networking skills necessary for upward mobility. The program includes bi-weekly seminars and mentorship, giving scholars the skills necessary to advance in their chosen fields.

The event featured inspiring remarks from Network Executive Director Pascale Leone and Lantern Community Services Executive Director Diane Louard-Michel alongside a keynote address from NYC Chief Equity Officer and Commissioner Sideya Sherman. A video also screened with remarks from NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) Acting Commissioner Dr. Michelle Morse. See the video here. Two RELISH scholars, Charming Dube and David Anderson, also addressed their cohort with moving reflections on their experience in the program.

Interest in RELISH continues to grow. 31 Scholars were accepted and completed the program, bringing the total number of RELISH graduating scholars to 120. Each scholar was paired with a mentor from one of 21 different agencies — up from 19 agencies in 2022.

Congratulations to the fourth RELISH class of graduates!
