On August 19th, the Network joined Goddard Riverside alongside members of Senator Gillibrand’s team for a tour and meeting at the Senate, a supportive housing residence with 136 apartments located on the Upper West Side in Manhattan.
Goddard staff highlighted the services offered by Goddard and at the Senate, how tenants benefit from these services, and the broader benefits of supportive housing. They also discussed challenges facing the supportive housing community, specifically federal threats to the Continuum of Care (CoC) program and the significant impacts those cuts would have on providers and tenants.
Senator Gillibrand and her team have been active in supporting the CoC and supportive housing, and we appreciate the dedication and commitment to helping ensure tenants remain stably housed.
