On October 29th, the Network was honored by Comunilife at their 2025 Annual Awards Breakfast. This year’s “Empowering Change: A Beacon of Hope for Community, Health, and Housing,”— highlighted both Comunilife’s profound legacy and its vision for the future. The Network was honored to be recognized alongside: Dr. Audrey Erazo-Trivino, Associate Commissioner, NYS Office of Mental Health and David Schwartz, Founder and Co-Partner, Slate Property Group.

Comunilife President and CEO Blanca Ramirez provided a welcome, who reminded attendees , “In a time when budget cuts threaten the services that save lives your presence here is more than essential. These wins are not just milestones, they are lives changed.”

The Network was deeply honored to receive this award. Executive Director Pascale Leone accepted it on behalf of the organization, sharing “Today is a celebration — but we all know the backdrop. At a time when the need for supportive housing is so great, unprecedented federal cuts threaten to dismantle decades of progress and jeopardize the futures of people who rely on these services. I accept this award with gratitude — and with resolve. We will continue to fight for policies that protect and expand supportive housing – not shrink it. We will continue to lift up the voices of our members and the people they serve. And we will continue to partner with leaders across our state to ensure that supportive housing remains a core part of our efforts to end homelessness once and for all.”

The breakfast highlighted the transformative power of compassion, resilience, and community partnership. We thank Comunilife for this meaningful honor and look forward to continuing our work together.
