Miracle on 43rd Street
In 1997, "60 Minutes" aired the most comprehensive national story ever on supportive housing. The piece, titled “Miracle on 43rd Street,” highlights supportive housing’s benefits for tenants and taxpayers alike. It does through a profile of America’s single largest residence: Common Ground’s The Times Square in Manhattan. Supportive housing, the story concludes, “will change the way you think about homelessness.”
