Eligible Projects
Buildings of five or more units in which 25% units are set aside for households earning less than 80% of the area median income (AMI).
Funding Award Details
Participant must work with an approved energy consultant partner, which includes a separate cost. An Energy Reduction Plan must be provided. Payments are based on satisfactory completion of work.
Rate Details
Existing Building in 2011
Base incentive: $5,000 up to 30 units and $10,000 for over 30 units. Incremental incentives of $20 per unit for buildings over 100 units plus up to $600 per unit construction incentives. Visit here for more details.

$20,000 plan incentive plus $1.50 per gross heated square foot (GHSF). Visit here for more details.
Term of Service/Length of Grant
Project schedule is dependent on scope of work.
Limitations
Cannot utilize other public utility programs together with NYSERDA.

NYSERDA offers many other incentive and low cost loan programs, including those for single family homes.
