As part of its advocacy efforts, the Network regularly testifies at New York State committee and budget hearings to influence policy decisions and protect funding sources to the benefit of supportive housing. Network staff members have delivered the following testimonies before New York State government agencies and officials.

• February 13, 2012 Senate and Assembly Session on Human Services
  The Network outlines the need for increased funding for the New York State Supportive Housing Program (NYSSHP).
• February 8, 2012 Senate and Assembly Joint Session
  The Network argues for supportive housing as a means to reduce Medicaid and healthcare spending.
• January 25, 2012 Assembly Committee on Social Services
  The Network argues for increased funding for NYSSHP.
• December 14, 2011 Senate Joint Committee Hearing
  The Network discusses supportive housing budget cuts before the Joint Committees on Social Services and Children & Families.

  The Network argues for the importance of increasing production of supportive housing in New York.
